"The African National Congress (ANC) called a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) today, 5 February 2018. The meeting was called to discuss, amongst others, the outcomes of the meeting held between the National Officials of the ANC and the President of the Republic of South Africa, Comrade Jacob Zuma," the party said in a statement.

The party will hold a special NEC on Wednesday evening in Cape Town and determine whether the SONA proceeds or not.
