JOHANNESBURG - Several members of the ANC national working committee will meet with North West branches following violent protests and looting in the province.

Protests continue to flare up in parts of the province.

Many have been protesting against poor service delivery and also calling on Premier Supra Mahumapelo to step down.

Last week, President Cyril Ramphosa cut short his trip to London to deal with the unrest.

The protests were sparked by the postponement of a no-confidence vote against Mahumapelo last week.

ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule and his deputy Jessie Duarte are among those who will visit the province.
