Tshwane's new mayor Solly Msimanga says he wants to eliminate corruption and deliver quality services to the metro's residents.
JOHANNESBURG – The ANC in Tshwane on Thursday demanded Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga resign.
The opposition said the controversial employment of Marietha Aucamp has impacted the running of the city.
This follows allegations Aucamp was hired with only a matric qualification for the chief of staff position.
"In reality the mayor of tshwane is Marieta. This explains why the party broke the law so she could babysit him. By employing incompetent people it impacts on service delivery. The ANC calls for the immediate resignation of Msimanga because he&39;s broken his oath of office," said Mapiti Matsena, ANC leader in Tshwane Council.
On Wednesday, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) stormed a meeting chaired by mayor Msimanga demanding he fire Aucamp.
