ANCWL nominates Dlamini-Zuma for party president

JOHANNESBURG - Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma remains the ANC Women's League's preferred candidate to succeed President Jacob Zuma as party president.

Following a league NEC meeting on Monday, the women's wing put forward six names it wants to lead the ANC.

Current Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza features as deputy president, with Nathi Mthethwa as chairperson.

Ace Magashule has been nominated for the secretary-general post, with Jesse Duarte as his deputy.

It wants International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane as treasurer general.
