
Parkwood in Cape Town was on Wednesday again the scene of violent protests over land and housing, as residents took to the streets and threw stones at police and other law enforcement agencies.
CAPE TOWN – Violent protests continue in Parkwood, Cape Town where some roads in the area were once again blocked on Friday morning.
Petrol bombs were hurled at police overnight.

The roof of a community hall caved in due to a fire, likely from a petrol bomb, on Thursday night.
Community members once again occupied land illegally amid continued tensions over a lack of housing.

Cape Town law enforcement inspector Wayne Dyason said roads have been reopened.
"It&39;s running battles between the police and protesters," he told eNCA&39;s Xoli Mngambi.
