JOHANNESBURG – The Abathembu nation could have two kings acting in the place of jailed King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo.

Prince Azenathi Dalindyebo wants to act in his father's place, while his uncle Prince Mthandeni Dalindyebo has already been installed as acting king by the Abathembu Royal House.

Azenathi Dalindyebo, the son of the jailed Abathembu king, is in KwaZulu-Natal on a mission to reclaim his place as acting king.

The 23-year-old addressed a gathering of Abathembu in uMzimkhulu on the lower South Coast.

He attacked his uncle for robbing him of his right to the throne.

“The throne is my bread and my family. If my uncle wants a slice he should make a request to me to give him portion not to snatch what belongs to me. That is my place,” he said.

His father is serving a 12-year jail term for kidnap, assault and arson charges.
