Brown gives Eskom board time to fix Molefe pay-out

JOHANNESBURG – The Minister of Public Enterprises, Lynne Brown has given the Eskom board more time to resolve consultation process of a pension pay-out to its former Group Chief Executive Brian Molefe.

“The Board has asked for more time to finalise their internal process and in the interest of fairness, I have acceded to it,” Brown said.

Brown on Sunday rejected the R30-million pay-out that was approved by the Eskom board.

The minister has also asked Eskom's board to investigate how its proposal got into the public domain before she had considered it.
