CAPE TOWN - Cape Town's dam levels have dropped in the past week, despite the recent rains.

The City is again warning residents to cut back their usage.

Dam levels are now below 40 percent.

The situation is quite dire, given that 10 percent of those reserves are unusable.

So technically, the City has a little over 29 percent in its dams.

Cape Town's water consumption remains above the daily water usage target.
