
Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande is meeting University Vice Chancellors at the OR International Airport
JOHANNESBURG - In the midst of ongoing student protests, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande will make representations before the Fees Commission on Thursday.
Among the Commission's terms of reference is investigating the feasibility of fee free tertiary institutions.
The meeting comes on the heels of the South African Students Congress calling for a national shut down of all the country's campuses today and Friday.

The organisation says it won’t allow President Jacob Zuma’s task team onto any campus.
Earlier this week President Jacob Zuma announced that a special task team made up of security cluster ministers would be assigned the responsiblity of resolving the fees crisis.
