JOHANNESBURG - The Life Esidimeni arbitration hearings resume in Johannesburg on Monday morning.

Last week, many families were hopeful when it was announced that the former Gauteng Health MEC would testify.

Qedani Mahlangu was said to be studying abroad.

But the London School of Economics has confirmed she&39;s not a registered student there.

Questions are being asked about her whereabouts.

A total of 141 mentally ill patients died after the department decided to move them to several unlicenced NGOs.

Many families have testified that they were only told once the move had taken place.
