The Life Esidimeni arbitration hearings have been extended until December. The state has indicated it is still trying to determine the whereabouts of former Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu, who approved the Esidimeni transfer has been subpoenaed.

JOHANNESBURG - Families of mentally ill patients who died after being moved to unlicensed NGOs from Life Esidimeni, will continue giving their testimonies on Thursday.
The hearing is still trying to determine the whereabouts of the Former Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu.
Mahlangu is due to testify before the arbitration.
On Wednesday, one patient’s mother said she almost died when she saw her daughter’s body in the mortuary.
