JOHANNESBURG - The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, announced his department&39;s decision on the visit to South Africa by American Pastor, Steven Anderson.

On 05 September 2016, the representatives of the Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community handed over two petitions with more than 60 000 signatures to Minister Gigaba following a meeting to discuss the intended visit.

Pastor Anderson has been accused of hate speech against the LGBTI community after hitting out at Gigaba, saying the minister only gave false hope to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community who had called for government to deny him entry into the country.
