JOHANNESBURG - Embattled Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is to brief Parliament's Justice portfolio committee on her annual performance plan and budget on Tuesday.
Her appearance comes after the same committee received a letter from Absa lawyers accusing Mkhwebane of lying to Parliament.
Mkhwebane appeared before the committee on 6 March to explain details in her report into the apartheid-era bailout of Absa predecessor Bankorp.
The lawyers’ letter points out a number of instances in which the Public Protector misled Parliament.
