JOHANNESBURG - Suspended Gauteng health department head Dr Barney Selebano will continue testifying at the Life Esidimeni arbitration hearings.
He finally took the stand on Tuesday after failing to have a subpoena forcing him to testify, overturned.
Dr Selebano says there was nothing he could have done to stop the transfer of patients to unlicensed NGOs.
A total of 143 patients died after being moved from Esidimeni centres.
The man who had authorised those transfers says once the decision to move patients was made, he had to make it happen.
