JOHANNESBURG - A memorial service was held for journalist and senior SABC radio producer Suna Venter at the SABC's offices in Auckland Park on Thursday afternoon.
Venter's body was discovered in her Johannesburg flat on Thursday last week.
She died of a heart condition, thought to be brought on by trauma and prolonged stress.
The 32-year-old endured intimidation, threats and assaults as she fought to report freely and accurately at the public broadcaster.
Venter was part of a group of eight SABC journalists who were fired for objecting to former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng's policies.
