Trevor Manuel said government should stop blaming apartheid for its actions.
JOHANNESBURG - A new coalition of civil society organisations is demanding that President Jacob Zuma step down.
Save South Africa wrote to Zuma requesting an urgent meeting with him. It wants to discuss his capacity to provide leadership.
The group is concerned about the economy and says Zuma has put his personal interests ahead of South Africans.
Among its members are former finance minister Trevor Manuel and former public enterprises minister Barbara Hogan.
