Cold weather to continue as snow falls on Drakensberg

JOHANNESBURG - The cold weather in the eastern parts of the country is expected to continue on Tuesday.

Snow has fallen on the Drakensberg mountains and in neighbouring Lesotho.

WATCH: Cold front headed for Gauteng

According to Rob Ansell from Snow Report SA, snow was expected to continue falling until Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday afternoon temperatures are expected to remain below 15ºC in Johannesburg and elsewhere on the Highveld.
