Commission to establish feasibility of free education

PRETORIA - Hearings into the feasibility of free higher education will get under way in Pretoria on Wednesday.

President Jacob Zuma established the commission in January after a spate of student protests nationally over tertiary fee hikes.

Wednesday&39;s meeting is expected to focus on establishing the inquiry&39;s scope.

The commission has already processed nearly 200 submissions.
