ConCourt to rule on Sassa grant extension

File: The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) contracted CPS in 2012 to pay social grants nationwide.

JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court is expected to rule on Sassa’s request to extend its unlawful contract with Cash Paymaster Services.

The social security agency wants the court to suspend the invalidity of the contract until September.

It says this will give it time to migrate the system to the Post Office.
