JOHANNESBURG - Controversial Johannesburg pastor Andre Olivier has apologised for his remarks over the weekend widely viewed as racist.

During a sermon at the Rivers Church in Sandton, Olivier said white people were entitled to their wealth, because they worked hard.

He also said God would send white people to help black people who are feeling abandoned.

His remarks caused outrage on social media.

In a series of tweets, Oliver is asking for forgiveness for hurting people&39;s feelings.

He admits his words were poorly chosen.
