File: Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown inadvertently misled Parliament when she said Trillian had no contracts with Eskom, the Public Protector said.
CAPE TOWN - The DA and Cope want Minister Lynne Brown fired immediately for misleading Parliament.
The call comes after the Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane found the Public Enterprises Minister guilty of violating the Executive Ethics Code.
Brown denied to Parliamentarians that there was a deal between Eskom and Trillian.
But, it later emerged that Trillian had already invoiced the power utility.
Brown insists she did not deliberately lie.
She said she&39;s instructed Eskom to take disciplinary action against those who misled her.
Mkhwebane said President Cyril Ramaphosa must now take action against the minister.
