Johannesburg, 24 October 2014 - The Western Cape High Court has ruled that SABC Chief Operating Officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng is to be suspended.

JOHANNESBURG -The Democratic Alliance says it&39;s tired of waiting for action in the Hlaudi Motsoeneng saga.

The party says the SABC boss must be suspended by 2pm tomorrow. It&39;s also warning that it could hold the Communications Minister in contempt of court.

The Appeals Court has already upheld Motsoeneng&39;s suspension but he says he&39;ll challenge the decision in the Constitutional Court.

Meanwhile, in a related legal battle, the DA says Motosoeneng&39;s permanent appointment should be set aside, and ruled irrational.

The Public Protector has found that he lied about his matric qualification. She also said his appointment was irregular.

James Selfe, DA said “What has happened here is that there was a very clear order by the Supreme Court of Appeal. Mister Motsoeneng has chosen to ignore that order. We believe that he has chosen to ignore it illegally and so if they do not suspend mr Motsoeneng by 2pm tomorrow afternoon, we will approach a court on an urgent basis to find that the minister, the SABC and mister Motsoeneng are in contempt of court."
