Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi visited the school on Tuesday to address teachers and management.

Paramedics attended to a 55-year-old  man who had been shot more than once," Netcare 911 spokesman Nick Dollman said.

"Tragically, the victim sustained severe injuries and died prior to arrival of the paramedics."

Lesufi said his department was installing cameras in all new schools to ensure the safety of pupils and teachers.
