EFF members Floyd Shivambu, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Julius Malema in parliament
JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters is to table a motion in Parliament on expropriation of land without compensation.
The party wants an ad-hoc committee to review and amend Section 25 of the Constitution to make it possible for the government to expropriate land.
During the State of the Nation Address debate, EFF leader Julius Malema told MPs that anyone who opposes land expropriation is an enemy of the people.
President Cyril Ramaphosa says the return of land will lead to healing.
But he also assured South Africans that the policy will be implemented without compromising food security.
