Eskom board to meet about Trillian payment

JOHANNESBURG - The Eskom board will meet on Tuesday afternoon to discuss global consultancy firm McKinsey, as well as the R1,6-billion paid to the Gupta-linked company, Trillian.

On Monday, the power utility admitted to releasing false information about the payments.

It initially claimed that management consultancy firm Oliver Wyman had found all the transactions were above board.

Eskom now says the New York-based firm actually red-flagged the payments.
