PRETORIA - Former Auditor-General Terence Nombembe was reappointed as a non-executive director of the Reserve Bank board.

The announcement was made by the Presidency in a statement on Tuesday. 

The 55-year-old Nombembe, who is a qualified charted accountant, is expected to hold the position for the next three years.

He has often been likened to former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela for his tough stance on corruption.
