African National Congress (ANC) Gauteng and Limpopo provincial working committees (PWC) "discussed challenges facing the ruling party.

BLOEMFONTEIN - A faction aligned to Thabo Manyoni is seeking a court order barring any FS PEC delegates from attending the national elective conference this coming weekend.

However, the conference is continuing regardless. 

 

 

 

 

A divided Free State ANC is electing its provincial leaders.

The conference got off to a slow start on Sunday.

Registration of delegates was blamed for the 10-hour delay.

Ace Magashule is tipped to retain his position as the party’s provincial chair.

The province also wants him to become the national secretary at this weekend’s elective conference.

But, several ANC members are still challenging the legitimacy of the provincial congress.

They say the re-runs of the nullified Branch General Meetings failed to follow proper procedures.
