National Treasury in partnership with IMALI YETHU developed the portal to make budget information more accessible, user-friendly and empowering.
The online portal will provide budget data in a format that is useful and appealing to the ordinary citizen in how it presents information of how public resources are generated and used.
The name of the portal -- vulekamali -- is a combination of "vuleka" which means open and "mali" which stems from the word "imali", which means money.
For more information about the portal, go to the IMALI YETHU website.
