JOHANNESBURG - The mother of a three-year-old child who died at Pastor Paseka &39;Mboro&39; Motsoeneng&39;s church has attempted suicide.

Nontombi Gwam was hospitalised after taking poison on Tuesday night.

It is suspected that Gwam&39;s inability to pay for her child&39;s funeral drove her to attempt suicide.

Her three-year-old daughter died on Christmas Eve at Mboro&39;s church.

Gwam claimed she was turned away from a clinic when she went there for help.

She said paramedics refused to help her child, who later died at the church.

Paramedics and nursing union, Denosa have rejected the claims.
