JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks says it will cooperate with the FBI&39;s investigation into the Gupta family.

It was revealed on Thursday that the American crime-fighting body is probing links to the controversial family.

For now, the focus is on two US-based relatives.

According to the Financial Times, the pair has a company which received payments from a Dubai-based, Gupta corporation.

The local FBI office -- based in Pretoria -- has refused to comment.

It&39;s referred all enquiries to the Justice Department in Washington.
