JOHANNESBURG - The National Freedom Party has vowed to take action against members who failed to meet the IEC’s registration deadline.

The NFP has been disqualified from taking part in the August poll because it didn’t pay the deposit on time.

But the party is going to the electoral court on Friday to try to get back into the race.

NFP leaders say someone did not do their job.

“The internal processes will be followed in terms of our constitution, in terms of the disciplinary procedures," said NFP national chairman Maliyakhe Shelembe.

"We will not leave this thing unattended.”
