PRETORIA - The North Gauteng High Court has reserved judgment in the latest parole bid by Chris Hani&39;s killer.

Janusz Walus assassinated the Communist Party leader in 1993.

Justice Minister Michael Masutha denied Walus parole in April last year.

He has been behind bars for nearly 23 years.

Walus&39;s lawyers say he has tried several times to arrange a meeting with the Hani family to ask for forgiveness, but to no avail.

Hani&39;s wife, Limpho attended today&39;s proceedings.

The SACP says Walus should be grateful his death sentence was commuted to life in prison, and leave it at that.
