A 50-year-old woman is appearing for kidnapping and fraud after her alleged victim met her sister at school.
CAPE TOWN - A 50-year-old woman has appeared at the Cape Town Magistrate&39;s Court on charges of kidnapping, fraud and pretending to be a child&39;s biological mother.
The woman is accused of kidnapping a 17-year-old girl only three days after she was born.
The child&39;s real mother told authorities she saw a woman dressed in a nurse&39;s uniform holding her baby before the child disappeared.
Incredibly, the girl was found after she unwittingly befriended her biological sister, whom she met in high school.
The accused has been remanded in custody until next week.
