The fire in Knysna is largely contained. Mop up operations has begun with firefighters working day and night to secure the areas burnt and mitigate the risk of flare ups occurring in multiple hot spot areas.

Officials say providing basic necessities is their priority.
Blazes have been contained in the town, but firefighters are on standby for any flare-ups.

The death toll in the Western and Eastern Cape has risen to nine.
Authorities will only be able assess final damages on Monday.
