KZN ANC elective conference put on hold indefinitely

About 8,000 ANC volunteers in KwaThema, near Springs, and more than 5,000 in Ratanda, Heidelberg, went campaigning on Sunday morning.

KWAZULU-NATAL - The ANC’s provincial elective conference in KwaZulu-Natal has been postponed indefinitely.

The election of the provincial executive committee was nullified in court this year.

The region is allegedly divided into factions.

One supporting President Cyril Ramaphosa, and the other supporting Minister in the Presidency, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

On Monday, a meeting of the party&39;s Moses Mabhida region also descended into chaos.

Video footage shows bodyguards drawing guns on party members.

The ANC’s Provincial Interim Committee Convener, Mike Mabuyakhulu says the cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances.
