PRETORIA - The Statistician-General, Pali Lehohla and Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, released the results of the Community Survey 2016 (CS 2016) on Thursday evening.
CS 2016 reflected on the 40 years of the country’s performance on education, labour markets, service delivery, poverty and access to services.
Dr Lehohla talked on the demographic dividend and present the challenges emanating from the results for the NDP and democracy in the immediate and medium term.
The CS 2016 is a large-scale household survey which provides statistical facts at municipal level and data on the community and its demographics. This follows weeks of data collection within South African communities by Stats SA fieldworkers that began in March this year.
