JOHANNESBURG - An Inter-Ministerial Task Team on Drought and Water Scarcity briefed the media at Parliament on Thursday.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Des Van Rooyen is heading the team dealing with the water crisis.
He said the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape would be classified as disaster areas before next week Wednesday.
Van Rooyen said more than R70-million had been allocated to deal with the drought.

Meanwhile, DA Leader Mmusi Maimane hinted that the Western Cape was considering legal action against national government.
