A Joint sitting took place in Parliament to debate 16 Days of Activism for no violence against women and children

JOHANNESBURG - For the 16th year, South Africa is taking part in the global 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.
The campaing runs from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) through to International Human Rights Day on 10 December.
Members of Parliament debated 16 Days of Activism under the theme Count me in – Together moving a non-violent South Africa forward
Key dates to observe during this period are:
25 November: International Day of No Violence Against Women
29 November: International Women Human Rights Defenders Day
1 December: World Aids Day
3 December: International Day for the Disabled
10 December: International Human Rights Day
