JOHANNESBURG - Former Deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Manana was back at the Randburg Magistrates Court for sentencing on Tuesday.
The case was swiftly postponed to Wednesday as Manana&39;s lawyer only received the probation officer&39;s report on Tuesday morning.
In September, Manana faced two counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm for striking two women at a Johannesburg nightclub.
He admitted to the incident, after initially saying he was provoked. Video footage of the attack went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage.
Manana resigned from his ministerial position after pressure from some in his party and several rights groups.
He remains an ANC MP.
