Mass funeral for 19 killed in KZN taxi crash


KZN MEC for Transport, Community Safefty and Liaison Mxolisi Kaunda arriving at a crash scene in Kwa-Ximba between Durban and Pietermaritzburg where 19 people died in a car crash.

DURBAN - The 19 people killed in a taxi accident in KwaXimba in KwaZulu-Natal will be buried in a mass funeral on Saturday.

The 16-seater taxi was carrying 26 passengers when it overturned last weekend.

Transport minister Joe Maswanganyi will be among the mourners and will be joined by provincial, local government, traditional and religious leaders.

The service will be held at the Inkosi Manzolwandle Sports Field, in KwaXimba.
