
At least 10 military personnel were killed when their bus overturned on the Golden Gate in Free State.
JOHANNESBURG – Several members of the SANDF died when a bus in which they were being transported, overturned in the Golden Gate Reserve on the R712, Free State, on Friday.

Paramedics are currently at the scene attending to the injured.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said approximately 40 others sustained various injuries.
“At this moment 10 people have be confirmed dead," Meiring told eNCA.

“Different emergency crews are assisting the injured, who will be transferred to nearby health facilities. The cause of the accident is not yet known,” Meiring added.
SANDF spokesman Brigadier General Xolani Mabanga confirmed that a military bus carrying SANDF officials was involved in the accident.
Mabanga could not provide further details as his office was still verifying details surrounding the incident.

Unconfirmed reports reflect possible further deaths, bringing the total to a potential 13. This is yet to be verified.
