MADIBENG - Some North West residents are blaming their water woes on a lack of political will by the Madibeng Municipality in Brits.
Residents of Mmakau have been without clean, running water for several months.
They claim their suffering has become big business for service providers.
Community leaders say they've lost hope in political leaders to solve the water crisis.
But the council admits its experiencing problems.
It says construction of a R187-million water plant will be the solution.
For now though, it says it’s relying on one truck which it pays R280 per hour to supply water to village.
