JOHANNESBURG - Northern Cape premier Sylvia Lucas has reiterated that she does not plan to undo last week's reshuffle of the provincial executive.

Senior ANC officials who met Lucas on Tuesday asked her to reverse her decision.

She's been accused of axing supporters of newly elected ANC Northern Cape chair Zamani Saul.

Lucas reshuffled her cabinet on the eve of last week's provincial conference of the governing party.

She committed to consulting with all the relevant stakeholders and legislative prescripts before making a decision on the matter.

She will communicate this decision to party officials.
