JOHANNESBURG - The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) is calling on South African citizens to boycott Zambian products.

The union said Zambia had degenerated into authoritarianism under President Edgar Lungu.

In April, opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema was charged with treason after allegedly refusing to give way to President Edgar Lungu's motorcade.
