The 73-year-old says the pain and grief still persist.

"You know, the people say it takes you 2 years 3 years and you start feeling a little bit better about the whole thing. But every day of my life is the same. I talk to her and little things that come up. If I see a feather, or something like that, Reeva is with me all the time."

Steenkamp says he’s willing to meet with Pistorius, but at a later stage.

The former paralympian faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars, after the Supreme Court of Appeal found that he should have been convicted of murder.

Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
