The Paul Krugers statue in central Pretoria is surrounded with barbed wire to protect it from being vandalised.
PRETORIA - The Economic Freedom fighters (EFF) has said it will demolish the statue of Paul Kruger in the Pretoria city centre.
The party believes the statue is a symbol of apartheid and it wants to replace it with one of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
It has given the Tshwane Metro an ultimatum to remove the statue.
The EFF has previously threatened to topple the statue, prompting the city to encircle it with barbed wire.
