PORT ELIZABETH - More than 80 people were injured when a building at the Port Elizabeth harbour collapsed last night.
The workers at the fish processing facility were queueing to leave the building when the second-storey floor caved in.
Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene.
Many of the Eyethu Fisheries employees were rushed to hospital.
At least two people were in a serious condition.
Port officials say they will launch a full investigation into the collapse.
The drama played out during a shift change at Eyethu shortly before 9 o&39;clock last night.
"The floor collapsed under our weight -- there were too many of us in the office. I wasn’t hurt because I ran out of the building when I heard the floor cracking," one witness said.
