RUSTENBURG - At least six buildings, allegedly occupied by foreign nationals, were torched in central Rustenburg in the North West on Wednesday.

It's alleged the attack was another bid by taxi operators to rid the area of drug dealers.

North West police were deployed in the area to normalise the situation on Wednesday night.

Provincial police spokesman Sabata Mokgwabone said an investigation will be carried out.

There have been calls for Police Minister Fikile Mbalula to visit the area.
