Police, students clash at UKZN

JOHANNESBURG – Chaos erupted on Monday morning at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Westville Campus as police and protesting students clashed.

Police moved in on protesting students who had been throwing stones at them.

The university has been involved in the current fees protest that has gripped most universities countrywide.

Meanwhile, the case against 24 University of KwaZulu-Natal students arrested on 6 September has been postponed in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court to 25 October.
