PRETORIA - Many voters in Tshwane appear to be changing their political support as a result of last week’s political protests and looting in the capital, with the African National Congress (ANC) falling 19 percentage points below the Democratic Alliance (DA) in eNCA&39;s latest poll.

Party sentiment improved for the DA and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), but the EFF is still lower than the ANC. While the ANC has dropped by 3 percentage points week-on-week, the DA has risen by 6 percentage points.

Sputla Ramokgopa (ANC) and Solly Msimanga (DA) are neck-and-neck as the preferred mayoral candidates in Tshwane with a 6.2 out of 10 rating. Controversial mayoral candidate, Thoko Didiza is not far behind with a rating of 5.6.
